Katy Auto Repair

I normally do all my own work on my vehicles, that being said... I just had to change the oil in my 2017 tundra with less than 60,000 miles on it, after I had it changed there about 6000 miles ago because the oil pressure was getting high. Full synthetic on a new engine should be good for 10,000 miles. I only pulled 4 quarts of oil out of a 5.7 L, explains the pressure issue, and there’s no way that was full synthetic oil or it just had to work twice as hard. I will never go back to that place and I recommend nobody else goes there because the kids they’ve got running it are either morons or crooks.

I am the owner of Katy Quick Lube. Based on vehicle recommendations, oil should be changed every 3,000 miles. We fully understand with full synthetic, people will run up to 5,000 miles (including myself). I have never heard of 10,000 miles being a standard or recommended by any source. At 6,000 miles you vehicle has passed the “unofficial” recommendation (5,000 miles) and burned off oil which would result in the reduction of quantity and possible issues to the vehicle. I promise you that we use all the proper oils in our oil changes and are happy if you would like to personally come to see our tanks. If you can please email me a copy of your invoice to [email protected] (this is my direct email) I will be happy to review the videos and the automated pumps for oil used for your vehicle (including quantity). We strive for excellent customer service but, with that, we also recommend the vehicle manufacture recommendations on frequency of oil changes. Happy to discuss further but please refrain from name calling as the team I have at my shop are all very skilled, including a certified technician, and I do not agree with using an offensive names that is used to mock the disabled or slander my business my implying we are thieves.

Went for oil change, the shop was not busy, waited for almost 15 minutes in the office, no one asked me what I'm here for, or how they. Can help, the guy at the front desk walked in and out the office 4 times, without even talking to me. So I decide to leave, and give my business to some other places that respects clients. Service: Oil change

Mohanda, I am so sorry you had this experience as this is not the way I run my business. If you can email me directly at [email protected] and provide me information on when you visited my shop, I would like to review the video and ensure corrective action is taken. Again, I apologize and appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback so I can implement corrective action. Courtney McCurley - Owner - Katy Quick Lube

I used to sent all my vehicles to them for inspection. Today I sat there for more that 30 minutes while the employees were just talking outside not working. I asked why they are not working and they said that the only person who does inspection is talking to the boss. I request taliking to the owner and a guy showed up from the back office and instead of appologize for the inconvinience, he questioned me about my time of wait. I left very dissapointed and other customer behind me as well. I took my truck down the road north of Katy Hockley cut offf and they did it fast and cheaper than them. I hope they improve their customer service.
